Liverpool co-owner George Gillett has invited senior officials from Dubai International Capital to be his guests at Anfield on Tuesday for the Champions League semi-final showdown with Chelsea.

Although Gillett himself will not be able to attend the match because of illness, his party - including son Foster, a fellow director - will be there in force to welcome DIC's representatives.

It is a remarkable move by Gillett - who has wanted to sell his 50% stake in the club to DIC for several months - and comes just five days after his estranged partner Tom Hicks staged an extravagant PR exercise with a TV interview defiantly outlining his own plans for the future of the club.

Later on in the evening, representatives of SOS met with representatives of DIC, led by Amanda Staveley, last night. We felt that as "a meeting of minds" it went very well. We discussed the idea of democratically elected supporter board room representation at length and in depth. We came away feeling not only listened to but engaged with and we're very hopeful we will continue that discussion at a later date. We were also told that the manager is held in very high regard by DIC.

Res neverjetno, a resnično. Mammamia, ogabni Chelsea, verjetno najslabši v zadnjih štirih letih, si je priigral "točko" in to z Marsa. A to je nogomet.

Anyway...It ain't over till' it's over - Potrebno je odigrati še cel "drugi polčas"....

Precej nesrečen remi, res da je trenutek sekunde za odločitev, vendar bi enostavno Riise moral zbijati z nogo. Sicer pa še ni vsega konec, druga tekma bo po mojem bolj zanimiva kot ta, ta je bila s taktičnega vidika izredno dovršena, zato pa malo manj zanimiva morda. Omeniti je treba slabe sodnike, danes smo videli par neverjetnih odločitev v stilu slovenskega sojenja...
