RAFA BENITEZ will challenge Tom Hicks on claims the American still uses Jurgen Klinsmann as an advisor.

The News of the World understands Klinsmann's representatives contacted Liverpool officials to warn them that Benitez's early transfer plans had been passed to their man.

The club were stunned to discover Klinsmann's view was sought on the quality of at least one target they are in the process of scouting.

The revelation will antagonise boss Benitez, who has sent private e-mails to co-owner Hicks outlining the players he wants to recruit for a title assault next season.

He will want an investigation into how Klinsmann could know the identity of his targets.

Helpful or not, Hicks is intent on setting his version of events before the Liverpool public. He is known to be particularly annoyed at being blamed for going behind Benitez's back to meet Klinsmann when he claims the meeting was primarily set up by Gillett, with Parry's knowledge.

Parry does not deny having been at crucial discussions with Klinsmann, the former German World Cup player and coach, but says he was there at the instruction of Hicks and Gillett.

Komu naj človek verjame...Na koncu bom res še kupil zgodbo, da je Parry "napumpal" Gilletta, da naj se znebi Rafe. V končni fazi bi bil še najbolj zadovoljen, če vsi trije, z Mooresom vred, spokajo kufre in gredo na Bahame...

Hec, res izjemno pomembna zmaga. Relativno suverena, bi se lahko reklo. Škoda za pozen pozen gol Santa Cruza. "Brezposelni" Reina bi lahko dodal v svojo impresivno zbirko še en "clean sheet". Sicer pa, kako ga je Wiley danes "biksal". Res neverjetno. Ene sporne situacije ni odsodil pravilno. Pri golu Blackburna ga je sicer "pokakal" stranski sodnik, a vse ostalo gre na Wileyev rovaš. Ne bi se čudil, če bosta tako Benitez kot Hughes bentila nad sojenjem danes...

Gerrard je bil danes absolutno "monstrous". Kapo dol tudi pred Torresom za 30 (!) sezonski zadetek....

Baje pa Rafa v izjavi za BBC 5live radio ni bil sila srečen ter je rekel da zahteve pogovore z "upravo"


RAFA to kar je moral prestati zadnje mesece je nad vsemi pričakovanji... od noža v hrbet do (za zdej nepotrjene) izdaje insajd. informacij, razkol v vodstvu......mislm da noben drug trener nebi tega trpel, edino še kar ta klub trenutno drži skupaj....

The 5 Live reporter had just got out of a talk with Rafa who has said this news is a surprise and he wants some answers right away. Asked who he wants to speak to. Rafa replied 'all of them', when asked when, he replied 'in hours if possible'. The reported said reading between the lines, it is Parry who Rafa is mad at and wants to speak to.

Ironija je, da je Hicks glede Beniteza očitno že zdavnaj obrnil ploščo. Gillett vse bolj spominja na neko prihuljeno podlasico. S Parryem gresta dobro vštric...

Nevem kaj je sploh Hicks hotel s pogrevanjem sranja ki nas je pahnilo po lestvici navzdol. Mogoče kao pokazat da sta ĐĐ in RP hotela klinsmana ter da on nima nič pri tem (srečanje je potekalo v njegovi hiši v kaliforniji) in bi po možnosti dobil navijače na svojo stran Rafa ga bo kot kaže (še enkrat) pripeljal do tega se bo sam (ponovno) ustrelil v nogo. Edino če Benitez ne reče da ima poln kufer background igric in reče adijo. Pol pa (poleg malega eksodusa igralcev, stopimo 4leta v rikverc)

Liverpool's loose cannon owner Tom Hicks, who has already destabilised the club in his American civil war with partner George Gillett, is planning more public squabbling this week.

Despite Liverpool president David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry's joint plea to keep their internal quarrels for the boardroom rather than washing their dirty linen in public, Hicks has already arranged an in-depth interview with Sky Sports News.

The Texan sees the TV opportunity as his chance to spread further poison about Parry, who he has already called 'arrogant, rude and insensitive' in his letter calling for the chief executive's resignation, which has further alienated Liverpool fans against Hicks.

The TV interview was due to take place yesterday, which would have deflected attention from Liverpool's victory against Blackburn, but Hicks was advised to put back his full-frontal assault until after tomorrow (April 15), which is the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

Mudslinging on a grand scale wasn't considered appropriate so close to such a date.

Hicks now plans to speak to Sky on Wednesday, which is seen as just as thoughtless, being even closer to the Hillsborough date.
Meanwhile, fans will be perplexed by Hicks's weekend comments that Liverpool will be debtfree under his command by 2011. Only the old guard of Parry and David Moores prevented the two Americans from lumping all the debt from the new stadium on to Liverpool's bank balance.

Although BenÍtez was aware that Hicks and George Gillett Jr, his estranged partner, attended the discussions in California, the news that the club’s chief executive was present has come as a nasty shock to the Liverpool manager. BenÍtez has not seen eye to eye with Parry for a long time and the latest revelations will only damage their relationship further and increase the pressure on the chief executive, who has so far withstood Hicks’s demands that he resign.

Hicks announced yesterday that he will “formally request” Gillett’s approval to terminate Parry’s contract after branding the chief executive, whom he has wanted out for four months, as “arrogant” and with an “inability to manage an organisation”. Hicks believes that Ian Ayre, the Liverpool commercial director, would make a far more suitable chief executive.
“I was surprised with the people that were in the meeting. That is the reason why I will talk with the board as soon as possible. I will try to clarify the situation with the board or the people that must clarify the situation.

“I will not talk about any owner. I want to talk with them and, if I can, all of them at the same time because they were all in the meeting together. I want to know something more. I will ask some questions and I will talk about this with them.”

Asked whether he believed that the revelations undermined his position, BenÍtez said: “That is the reason I want to clarify the situation.” Hicks had been irked by Parry’s claims that the Texan’s call for his resignation was “offensive” and responded by leaking reports of the meeting with Klinsmann.

“I didn’t hear Rick Parry say it was offensive when George gave his radio interview telling the world our relationship had become unbearable,” Hicks said. “When the Klinsmann story broke, I didn’t hear Rick Parry or George Gillett say that they were the ones that set up the meeting.

Če ima Hicks eno stvar prav je ravno Parry nesposobnež na kubik, nažalost mora Parry trenutno ostati v klubu (ĐĐ se tega dodobra zaveda) saj lahko samo na ta način preprečijo delitev moči in oblasti v upravnem odboru ter s tem preprečijo da bi si hicks na krožniku serviral popolno oblast (zasedajo ga hicks+sinček, ĐĐ + sinček, Moorse in Parry)
